The position of Regional Director of the Western Appalachian Region is up for election this winter.  All active NSP members of the region are eligible to vote for this position.  Please post the attached flyer in your patrol rooms.  The patrollers will be emailed ballots according to the timeline shown below.

All patrollers meeting the eligibility requirement for the position of Regional Director are encouraged to participate in the election. 

 

Qualifications for Region Director:

You must be a register member of the region, have served as a section chief or must have been a registered member of the NSP for at least five years, and be currently register as a senior or certified patroller.

January 1st                   Announce Elections

January 15th               Accept nominations along with patrol resumes

February 1st                 Nominations close

February 15th              Ballots and patrol resumes emailed to voters

(All active patroller are eligible to vote)

March 1st                     Deadline for voting

March 15th                   Election results announced

Announcement of Elections

Regional Director

Western Appalachian Region

 

The election for the Regional Director of the Western Appalachian Region will be taking place this winter.  All active NSP members of the region are eligible to vote for this position. 

You now have the opportunity, every two years, to vote for your regional representative, the Regional Director.  This person not only handles the responsibility of the Region, but also sits on the Eastern Division board of directors.  The Division board elects the Eastern Division Director.

Qualifications for Region Director:

You must be a register member of the region, have served as a section chief or must have been a registered member of the NSP for at least five years, and be currently register as a senior or certified patroller.  The two-year term of office for the Regional Director runs from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2010. 

 

Deadline for nominations is February 1st.

Platforms for the candidates will be posted on the region’s web site www.patrol.org in February 2008.  You will be receiving an email ballot for the Regional Director position in Mid-February 2008.  Please make sure NSP has your current email address by checking www.nsp.org.  Please take advantage of your new right to vote promptly.  The results will be announced in Mid-March 2008.
