Subject: Election of the Western Section and the Region Director of the Western Appalachian Region.

Running for Region Director: Guy Lombardo. Running for the Western Section Chief: Bob Stark and Jim Jacobs

I have just received notice from the election committee of the election result. For Region Director, I was re-elected. On the run off ballots for the Western Section Chief, Jim Jacobs was elected by a majority of votes.

I would want to thank Bob Stark for all his efforts the last two years as the Western Section Chief. The job as Section Chief is very demanding and time consuming. The change over of records, etc, will take time. Please contact Bob or Jim till this is completed. I'm very sure they will both help you.

I would also want to thank all of you for your trust in allowing me to serve you for another two years. As Section Chief I made the promise to "always have an open door policy to one and all." This has never changed over the six years I was the Western Section Chief and the two years I served as your Region Director. I strongly believe that no officer is above the patroller. We as line Officers are here to serve, not dictate.
