A National Ski Patrol—Instructor Development Course

Cost:  $35 per person (includes cost of book and refreshments)

 

Covers the various areas of instruction and how instruc­tors can apply them to create a positive learning experi­ence for their students. Helps build a strong foundation of educational knowledge for use when planning and delivering lessons. The general information covered in Instructor Development is applicable for all potential NSP instructors, regardless of instructional specialty.

Class size is limited — reservations taken on a first come basis.

           

Be Prepared:

 

During this course you  will be presented with the concept of the “six pack” method of preparing a lesson plan.  After learning the “six pack” method, each participant will prepare a 5—10 minute lesson plan.  They will then present their lesson plan to the rest of the group.  Each participant should decide prior to the course what they will teach and should bring any necessary props or other materials in order to carry out their lesson.
