Obtain the Ski Patroller's Manual. Read and review all Senior OEC program details and requirements. Contact Sr. OEC TC |
|
Make Application Work with Sr. Advisor to develop your training program |
Complete application, obtain Patrol Director's signature, send to STC. With a Senior T/E or the STC, design a training program to best help you meet your training needs. |
|
Senior OEC clinics |
Obtain list of planned OEC clinics. Verify time and locations and ensure all registration details are completed for participation in clinics or training events |
|
OEC Skills Validation |
Demonstrate all OEC skills in accordance with the guidelines to an OEC Instructor for validation and sign-off of your training log. |
|
Written Senior Scenarios |
Complete worksheets for 2 written Senior OEC scenarios (in Ski Patroller's Manual) Create 1 new Senior level scenario. |
|
On-The-Snow Scenarios |
Satisfactorily complete, as leader, at least 4 senior level practical scenarios on the hill and have these signed-off by Senior OEC T/E. |
|
Ensure that all skills and scenarios are completed and documented in a training log. |
Provide these to the Senior OEC Training Coordinator as directed. |
|
Prepare for Clinic/Evaluation |
Arrange for toboggan and equipment to be brought to the site (as directed by staff). Bring skis, patrol belt, appropriate clothing and registration data. |

Clinic/Evaluation Day |
Arrive timely based on information provided. |
