To: Patrol Directors From: Sam Dilcer - Student Advisor Re: Student Patroller Weekend This year we will have a two day training weekend for student patrollers. One day will be devoted to ski and toboggan activities, and one day will be devoted to O.E.C. The Penn State Outing Club Patrol has agreed to host this two day event at Tussey Mountain. The dates are January 23 and 24, 1999. We will begin registration at 8:30 AM and plan to begin the program by 9:00 AM. There is no charge for the program; however each participant will be responsible for his or her meals. For the students that have some distance to travel, the folks at Tussey Mountain have offered to arrange for Saturday overnight housing in private homes. Please encourage your Student Patrollers to attend for a weekend of learning and fun. If your student(s) will want overnight housing, please let me know by Tuesday January 19, 1999. I can be reached by E-mail at sbdjr@mailcity.com. There are only two requirements: the Student must currently be in high school and they must be registered with the NSP as a candidate or patroller. Happy New Year! |
